VERTICAL CHALLENGE

Launched in 2017, Kaptur Drone won the Gold Design Award for the "Home & Electronics” category at the IDA - International Design Awards in Los Angeles and also the Silver Award for the “Toy Design / Remote Controls” category, in the same year.
The goal in designing this UAV ("Unmanned Aerial Vehicle") was to give it a completely different appearance than the typical boxy, boring, unimaginative, look-alike designs that were currently available in the marketplace.
We wanted to create a totally new design; one that was unique, distinctive, sleek, streamlined, elegant, and clean.
The challenge we faced was that the design possibilities were severely restricted due to the size and dimensions of the circuit boards currently available for UAV's.
By changing the design of the circuit board, so it could be mounted vertically instead of horizontally, and through our total involvement in every step of the engineering, prototyping, testing and manufacturing of the Kaptur Drone, we were able to accomplish our goal; an award-winning, high-performance UAV with a unique and captivating design, that distinguished itself in the marketplace, and consistently out-sold it's competition.
